Background 

Why choose the Windsor English Programmes?

The Windsor English Programmes are an exclusive modular one-to-one English course. It is designed for busy professionals needing to improve their English in a time and cost efficient way. It is a true business class product held in the centre of Windsor, a pleasant town about thirty minutes from Central London.

The programme is very different from a conventional language school programme. This is because the contents and approach are agreed in advance with you - it is your course so you decide, with our professional support, which modules you want to study.

What will I learn?

Before the course begins, we conduct a detailed needs analysis. The needs analysis involves:

A questionnaire completed online or by email. This asks you a series of questions about what you hope to cover in the course and which modules are of interest to you.

A telephone conversation with you to discuss the questionnaire and make any clarifications required.

A test conducted on-line to determine your level of English.

Based upon the results of the needs analysis and the level testing, we will send you an outline of the course explaining on a day-by-day basis what you will study. You are welcome to contact us to discuss this before you arrive in the UK. In all cases grammar and other general aspects of the language are integrated into the programme.

As we said the course is modular and you can choose what you want to study. Some of the modules are listed below, but you are always welcome to suggest other areas that you are interested in. Most modules are one or two days in length.

Who are the Teachers?

All of our teachers are highly experienced in the field of English language teaching. Many of them have a business background themselves so they have a genuine understanding of some of the issues that you face in your day to day work. You will have at least two different teachers on your course. 

What is included in the Windsor English Programmes?

The course comprises 30 hours of tuition per week on a one to one basis, Monday – Friday.

The main features of the course are:

· A pre departure needs analysis, placement test and selection of your study modules

· An airport pick up and return journey at an extra cost

· Hotel or suitable host family accommodation (this is in addition to the course fee)

· Training by at least two teachers

· A daily training schedule comprising grammar review, core module work, social English and daily summary

· Informal weekly testing, review and discussion of the course contents and your progress

· At least three lunches per week with a teacher in a local restaurant

· Two evening activities per week with a teacher (e.g. a theatre trip or dinner)

· Optional weekend activities such as golf, horse riding or museum visits. These are costed individually

· Optional, and if practical professional visits to local companies in your field

· An end of course report and suggestions for further study at home.
